AUSTIN (Texas) — Four people were injured and shot in downtown Austin on Sunday morning, as the city hosted the annual South by Southwest festival.
At 2:50 a.m. the Austin Police Department advised people to leave the area, and warned via Twitter that the gunman is still at large.
Police tweeted that a suspect had been taken into custody just before 5 a.m.
The Austin-Travis County EMS and police said that the injuries sustained by the victims were not life-threatening and that they had all been transported to the hospital.

As the festival came to an end, multiple shootings occurred . This prompted Austin’s police chief to promise more security for the city’s entertainment district.
