Boulder’s Center for ReSource Conservation will be offering classes on xeriscaping, which is creative landscaping designed to conserve water.

The classes — which will cover topics ranging from xeriscaping gardens, landscaping, creating pollinator-friendly landscapes and how to build a rain garden — will be offered at a variety of Boulder County locations over the next three months.

The classes are free and open to the public, but space is limited and preference will be given to residents of the community where the seminar is being held.

“Xeriscaping is a great family activity,” said Center for ReSource Conservation program manager Natalie Antonucci in a statement. “We hear it from parent after parent — when it comes to conserving water, there’s something transformative about digging in the dirt.”

Center for ReSource Conservation also will once again offer its Garden In A Box program that allows residents to buy professionally designed gardens that contain perennial low-water plants at a discount.
