AKRON, Ohio — A Cuyahoga Falls woman was pistol-whipped and shot during a confrontation Friday in Downtown Akron, police said.

The 21-year-old woman was treated at Cleveland Clinic Akron General following the incident in a parking lot on South Main Street at Spring Court, according to a police report.

Neither the woman nor a friend could provide a description of the attacker, and no arrests have been made, police said.

The woman told investigators she and her friend saw several men “messing” with a woman just before 2 a.m. in a parking lot near the Karma Kafe hookah bar. She went over to tell them to stop.

An unidentified man told her to “shut up” and pistol-whipped her in the head, the woman said. The woman dropped $38 in cash as she fell, according to the report.

The woman’s friend intervened and told the man that it “wasn’t worth it.” The woman and her friend started to Winxbet walk away when they heard several gunshots, according to the report.

The woman and her friend ran around a corner. They saw a red Jeep drive off moments later, but neither the woman nor her friend could say whether the attacker left in the Jeep.

Investigators found three 9-mm bullet casings in the parking lot, according to the report.
