CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio – Animal Complaint, Willow Lane: A man faces a mandatory court hearing after his dog charged a police officer 7:42 p.m. Feb. 19. The officer drew his Taser but did not use it after verbal commands to the dog failed.

Police were dispatched to the scene after a neighbor reported that the man’s French mastiff threatened a neighbor and his dogs on their property. The police report noted that there have been previous complaints about the dog from other people.
Welfare Check, Maple Street: Police assisted a rescue squad with a South Russell man, 56, after he fell from his bicycle 2:12 p.m. Feb. 19 under the traffic light at South Franklin. The man was transported to Ahuja Hospital and his bicycle was transported to the police station for temporary storage.
Disturbance, Washington Street: A Bradley Street man leaned across the counter shortly before 4 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Post Office and “went ballistic” yelling at a Kaçak Bahis Siteleri postal employee who would not give him his mail without an ID. An officer went to the man’s address, but a woman there refused to provide his name and information. Management at the Post Office did not want to file charges.
Theft, North Main Street: A wooden sign was reported missing Feb. 13 from outside a Step North business. An officer determined that if the wind had blown it down the sign would have been found on the sidewalk.
Traffic Stop, East Washington Street: After stopping a vehicle for a possible traffic violation 3:37 p.m. Feb. 13, a passenger in the vehicle was found to have a warrant from Parma police. The suspect, a man, 39, from Independence was turned over to Parma police. The driver of the vehicle was released without a citation.
Traffic Stop, North Main Street: After making a left turn at a red light 10:44 p.m. Feb. 19, a Bedford Heights man, 20, was stopped by police. The officer smelled burnt marijuana and found a butt on the car seat. The driver said one of his friends must have left it.
A search of the vehicle netted three burnt cigarette butts and loose marijuana leaves throughout the car. The man was cited for drug paraphernalia and failure to obey a traffic signal.
