A former girlfriend of radio host Bubba the Love Sponge Clem is seeking an order of protection against him, claiming in a court filing that he has abused her “emotionally and physically” for four years.
Nicole L’Ange, 35, accuses the 50-year-old host – the man behind the infamous Hulk Hogan sex tape – of strangling her, hitting her on the back of her head and pushing her to the floor in the request filed with Pinellas Circuit Court, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
“I’ve had to change my number, block email and all other means of communication,” L’Ange wrote in the filing. “He has found out where I’m staying and I’m scared he’s going to show up.”
L’Ange said she never went to authorities with her claims, but said Clem — born Todd Clem — won’t stop harassing her and her family, including with threats to ruin her career in the Tampa Bay area. The host also sent “humiliating” texts to L’Ange’s father, asked the woman if she’s ever tried to kill herself and created fake social media accounts to “mess with” her and her current boyfriend, according to the filing.
The couple met in 2012 and when L’Ange ended the relationship, she left with only her dog, clothes and car.
“Because I finally got the courage to leave, he has tried to ruin me and my family,” L’Ange said.
L’Ange, according to her LinkedIn profile, worked as a promotions and merchandise coordinator for Beasley Media Group, which broadcast Clem’s show before dropping it late last year, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Neither Clem nor an attorney who represents him could be reached for comment, the newspaper reports. A message seeking comment by The Post to attorney Kevin Hayslett was not immediately returned Tuesday.
The host’s profile was raised significantly after Hulk Hogan sued gossip website Gawker for posting a video of the former wrestler – born Terry Bollea — having sex with the radio host’s then-wife, Heather Clem. The $140 million invasion of privacy verdict forced Gawker to shut down in August.
Clem has been spotted in civil courts within the last few months and is currently fighting a legal battle with Bank of America, which claims he owes them over $75,000. He has also been accused of tampering with the ratings of his radio show, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
A hearing on L’Ange’s request has been scheduled for March 9.
