Crews responded to the fire around 2 a.m. in the 800 block of Eigth Avenue in Broomfield, according to tweets from the North Metro Fire District.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in the two houses and the camper, but the fire ignited a nearby gas meter. Fire crews were able to keep the fire from spreading while the gas company responded to shut off the gas line.
