Police arrested a man who stalked his ex-girlfriend after she refused to get back together with him — and found an AR-15 assault rifle in his apartment, authorities said.
Police found the weapon along with a cache of pellet guns several days after they cuffed Charlie Sliwowski, 33, on the stalking charge on Feb. 17.
He allegedly tried to reconnect with a former girlfriend he dated about five years back by contacting her through social media.
When the woman refused his advances, Sliwowski started showing up at her job at the Bloomingdales on Lexington Ave. and 59th St.
Cops arrested him outside the department store and found he was carrying a knife. He was charged with stalking, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration and possession of a weapon.
While being questioned, Sliwowski told police he had an AR-15 back at his Lorimer Street apartment in Brooklyn.
The cops searched his apartment on Feb. 22 and found the rifle, along with the fake handguns, cops said.
He has since been hit with additional weapons charges.
