CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland has a new healthy-eating-oriented restaurant.

The chic new Water Garden Cafe opened this week in the Lorain Avenue Antiques District, at 7646 Lorain Ave. The sophisticated but casual cafe promises an emphasis on “healthy, wholesome food that promotes and improves your wellbeing.” The menu includes vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and organic options, with as much food as possible locally sourced. They also have fresh juices and organic coffee.

Water Garden serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 11 a.m. Dumanbet to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Menu items range from hot cakes with vegan butter substitute to breakfast tacos; beet burgers to Ohio beef burgers; and Mediterranean vegetable sautee with couscous to pulled-pork tamales. They serve small plates and vegan snacks in addition to full meals.

The decor is sleek and modern, with cantaloupe-colored and exposed brick and stone walls, and a lovely waterfall coming out of a rustic stone structure in the center.
