The former Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Razak, has been convicted in the first of several Corruption trials to up to twelve years in prison. The 67-year-old politician was acquitted by the court in Kuala Lumpur in all seven of the charges guilty. The politician, who was from 2009 to 2018 in the office, were abuse of power, embezzlement and money laundering accused.
this is the first of several cases, there was the equivalent of about 9.3 million euros have been diverted from the state Fund “1Malaysia Development Berhad” (1MDB) and the private account of the former heads of government directed. Najib wants to appeal against the judgment.
Najib was installed as the Minister of Finance 1MDB contained. He denies any wrongdoing and has consistently said that he had been led by fraudulent financial advisers, is misleading.
