The 2025 Wanda Diamond League season was filled with excitement and record-breaking performances across 15 meetings in 13 countries. One of the standout moments was Mondo Duplantis shattering the men’s pole vault world record by clearing 6.24m on his debut in China.

In Suzhou, New Zealand’s Hamish Kerr triumphed in the men’s high jump, besting Olympic gold medalist Mutaz Barshim with a 2.31m jump. The series continued in Doha, where Brazil’s Alison dos Santos and USA’s Kenny Bednarek set new meeting records in the men’s 400m hurdles and 200m, respectively.

Moroccan star Soufiane El Bakkali delighted the home crowd in Marrakech by winning the 3000m steeplechase, while Beatrice Chebet of Kenya set a world record in the women’s 10,000m in Eugene. The Bowerman Mile in Eugene also saw Josh Kerr outpace Jakob Ingebrigtsen to victory.

The Bislett Games in Oslo witnessed Hagos Gebrhiwet’s historic 5000m run, while Lamecha Girma set the fastest men’s 3000m steeplechase time of the year in Stockholm. Yaroslava Mahuchikh and Faith Kipyegon made headlines in Paris, breaking world records in the women’s high jump and 1500m, respectively.

Monaco saw Jessica Hull set a world record in the women’s 2000m, with Algeria’s Djamel Sedjati winning the men’s 800m. The London meeting before the Olympics featured impressive times from Nickisha Pryce, Matthew Hudson-Smith, and Femke Bol.

The Lausanne meeting after the Olympics showcased Emmanuel Wanyonyi’s blazing 800m run, while Duplantis and Ingebrigtsen set world records in Silesia. In Rome, Winfred Yavi came close to breaking the women’s 3000m steeplechase world record, and Grant Holloway set a new standard in the men’s 110m hurdles in Zurich.

At the Brussels final, Faith Kipyegon secured her fifth Diamond trophy with a record-breaking performance in the women’s 1500m. Leonardo Fabbri and Mondo Duplantis also set meeting records in the shot put and pole vault, respectively.
