These games, created in collaboration with independent designers from around the world, were unveiled during Blumhouse Games’ presentation at the Summer Game Fest at the YouTube Theater in Hollywood Park.
During the event, Blumhouse Games showcased a trailer for the upcoming projects, signaling a new era for the company. President Zach Wood expressed excitement about partnering with independent game creators who are bringing fresh ideas to the horror genre. One of the games teased during the presentation was “Fear the Spotlight” by Cozy Game Pals, which follows two teens exploring a school after hours and uncovering a decades-old tragedy.
Another anticipated game is “Sleep Awake” by Eyes Out, designed by Cory Davis and Robin Finck, which offers a psychedelic horror experience set in the distant future. “Crisol: Theater of Idols” by Vermila Studios takes players on a first-person horror adventure in a terrifying version of Spain where saint statues come to life.
“Grave Seasons” by Perfect Garbage is a pixelated farming and town simulation game set in Ashenridge, where a supernatural serial killer lurks among the residents. “The Simulation” by Playmestudio follows a retired game designer investigating a crime based on a never-before-seen horror game.
Lastly, “Project C” by Half Mermaid Productions, along with designers Sam Barlow and Brandon Cronenberg, promises a twisted and heartbreaking experience for players. With a diverse range of horror games on the horizon, Blumhouse Games aims to captivate, thrill, and terrify players while expanding its presence in the gaming industry.
