Baden-Württemberg’s CDU state leader Thomas Strobl has shown himself open to introducing a speed limit on German motorways. “A speed limit will not fail us,” said Strobl at a CDU event in Allensbach, as reported by the “Südkurier” (Friday). “The situation is serious. There must be no ideological barriers.” If the traffic light government in Berlin decides on a speed limit, the CDU will not stand in the way. The Union supports “everything that saves energy and helps to gain some”.
