For years, the Siemens managers in Mülheim an der Ruhr were delighted every time the general press showed interest in their gas and steam turbines. That was rather rare, such machines are not exactly something for the evening program or the daily newspaper, although here and in neighboring Duisburg excellent apparatus was developed and built for nuclear and coal-fired power plants all over the world. Or also for gas pipelines like the Russian Nord Stream 1.
