The North Rhine-Westphalian Minister of the interior, Herbert Reul (CDU) has spoken out vehemently against the Bavarian Minister President and CSU leader Markus Söder as a candidate for Chancellor. He was “inexplicable”, how could people get the idea that Söder would be a good candidate for Chancellor, said Reul, the “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger”. The CSU Chairman have the Union with its strategy, “to want the AfD to the right to overtake” since 2015 “serious damage” inflicted, criticized the NRW-Minister of the interior. The cost of the Union, “nearly 20 percent of the consent”.
That the Bavarian Prime Minister have consulted, in the meantime, and now “green” give, show, only, that Söder have “no clear political compass”. “Hot air and a policy that relies on productions,” don’t bring more to the Union, said Reul on the CSU leader. Surveys have recently shown that many people can imagine Söder as Chancellor. Söder yourself stressed, so far, his place is in Bavaria.
