Thus, 45,000 police and gendarmes will be mobilized to try to neutralize the riots that have shaken the country since the death of young Nahel on June 27 in Nanterre.
In Marseille and Lyon, the main cities affected on Friday evening, the police will be considerably reinforced, added the Minister of the Interior. The CRS 8, specializing in urban violence, will be deployed in Lyon and three CRS companies, or 200 agents, will be sent to Marseille.
