Since his inglorious departure in Germany, it became quiet around him – the former Bishop of Limburg, Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst appeared in a rare public appearance at the Vatican. Tanned and with a full beard, he presented on Thursday in Rome, a new “directory for catechesis”, i.e. a set of rules for instruction in the Faith.
Tebartz-van Elst had resigned in 2014 as the Bishop of Limburg, after a scandal of his 31 million – Euro service and domicile back and had made it as a “Bishop” in the headlines. In March 2015, he is working in the Vatican. In the Pontifical Council for new evangelization, he takes care of the proclamation of the gospel in countries where the Faith is strongly rooted, but the support for the Church wanes.
On Thursday, he also spoke about the negative side of digitalisation. “We can get some things clear very quickly about video conferences, but the media does not replace personal communication.” The have also shown the Corona-crisis.
