A return to the “brutal” summer. This is how Météo-France qualifies the return of high temperatures next week when the northern half of France has been experiencing rainy and stormy weather for several days, as noted by Le Parisien.

If the beginning of the week still promises to be “mixed and cool”, the return of the sun is expected “in the middle of the week” accompanied by a rise in temperatures. On Monday, the thermometer will show between 19°C and 22°C while it will climb considerably until Wednesday to reach an average of 25°C to 30°C. On Wednesday, it will be 26°C in Paris, Strasbourg, 28°C in Rennes and 30°C in Nantes.

This marked improvement in the weather is linked to an anticyclone over Europe which will bring warm air from the Iberian Peninsula to France.

A summer weather that could “be questioned on the northwest from the weekend”, according to Météo-France. While temperatures in the south “should soon exceed seasonal values”, especially in the southwest.

This weekend, temperatures will remain low over a large northern part with highs of 19°C to 22°C, 21 to 24°C in the South-West and 26 to 31°C in the South-East.
