Bad news for Prime Video subscribers who follow French Football: Amazon has decided to increase the price of the Ligue 1 pass. And this, while there will be fewer games to watch next season since the championship has been reduced from 20 to 18 teams (4 games less). Thus, from August 4, you will no longer have to pay 12.99 euros per month, but 14.99 euros. Amazon began notifying its subscribers by email on Tuesday, July 4.
Note that the price of the “season subscription” remains unchanged: for those who have subscribed to this option and would like to renew it, you will still have to pay 99 euros.
As a reminder, the Ligue 1 pass is to be subscribed in addition to the classic Amazon Prime formula (6.99 euros per month, or 69.90 euros per year), which allows its subscribers not to pay delivery costs and benefit from a delivery in 24 hours on certain products available for order on the site.
This subscription hike comes only a year after Amazon Prime already increased its prices. Last summer, the ogre of online commerce had indeed added 1 euro to its monthly subscription (going from 5.99 to 6.99 euros) and 20 euros to its annual subscription, now set at 69.90 euros per year.
Students logically pay less. The Amazon Prime Student subscription is 3.49 euros per month, or 34.95 euros per year.
