In a press release published Friday 22 in the morning, the French Rugby Federation (FFR) announced that “Antoine Dupont suffered a maxillo-zygomatic fracture” after his injury on Thursday during a clash with a Namibian player in Marseille, in Rugby World Cup group match.
“A specialist surgical opinion was requested to precisely define the duration of unavailability,” explains the press release. The captain “remains with the France group”, however, announces the FFR.
The injury of the captain of the French team, among the favorites of the competition, was the black point of the France-Namibia match, Thursday evening, won largely by the Blues (96-0).
