Beal-Smith’s career total of 1,871 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns for Wake Forest includes 604 yards this season on 131 runs. Redshirt junior Beal-Smith shared carries with sophomore Christian Turner and freshman Justice Ellison.
Beal-Smith, who is 5’10 and 200 lbs, started 20 games for Wake Forest over the past two seasons. The team won the ACC Atlantic Division this fall, beating Rutgers in Friday’s TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. In the bowl game, he ran for 23 yards on eight carries.
Wake Forest’s No. Kenneth Walker III was a 2 rusher who transferred to Michigan State. He won the Doak Walker Award for the nation’s best running back this fall.
