Yamaha has been urged to sign Toprak Razgatlioglu as they look to add a special talent to their team. The addition of a satellite team, Pramac, to Yamaha’s structure next season has changed the MotoGP landscape.

Toprak Razgatlioglu, the current leader in the World Superbikes championship, had initially expressed interest in switching series for 2025. However, he later decided to stay with BMW due to contractual obligations.

Neil Hodgson from TNT Sports highlighted Razgatlioglu’s impressive performance at the Superbikes Misano round, emphasizing his unique talent. He suggested that Yamaha, despite having four full factory bikes, should consider approaching Razgatlioglu for his exceptional abilities.

Razgatlioglu himself expressed interest in joining Yamaha, stating that he could make a difference with his riding skills. While there were rumors of an approach from Honda, it seems that Joan Mir will be re-signing with Honda, leaving Razgatlioglu as a potential target for other teams.

Although Razgatlioglu had tested Yamaha’s MotoGP bike last year, the team did not immediately sign him. Instead, he moved to BMW and has been performing exceptionally well, challenging for the championship title.

Despite the lack of factory bikes available in MotoGP, Razgatlioglu remains an intriguing option for teams willing to take a chance on his ability to adapt quickly to a different machine. Yamaha, along with other teams like Honda and LCR Honda, may benefit from considering Razgatlioglu for the upcoming seasons.
