The Giants and long snapper Zak DeOssie have agreed to a new two-year deal, according to a source.
DeOssie has been with the team since the they drafted him in the kralbet fourth round in 2007. He appeared in 149 consecutive games before missing four in 2015 because of torn tendons in his wrist. He and Eli Manning are the only remaining players from the Giants Super Bowl XLII and XLVI teams.
The 32-year-old has been to two Pro Bowls in his career in 2008 and 2010.
DeOssie is the only long snapper on the Giants roster. He beat out Tyler Ott last year in training camp.
Now that the Giants locked up their long snapper, will they do the same with their kicker? Robbie Gould is scheduled to be a free agent next month. The team signed kicker Aldrick Rosas to a futures deal this winter.
DeOssie is the son of former Giants linebacker Steve DeOssie, who was on the Super Bowl XXV-winning Giants team. They were the first father-son duo to win Super Bowls with the same franchise.
