Return. A new era begins for the Blues of captain Kylian Mbappé, this Friday (8:45 p.m.) against the Netherlands in qualifying for Euro 2024, in a packed Stade de France for the resumption of the vice-world champions and the homage to new retirees. The France team is making its comeback at home, without the World Cup which escaped them by a breath in the final three months ago, but with the massive support of its supporters against an opponent who, admittedly diminished, n is never easy to maneuver. At the helm of the tricolor ship, Kylian Mbappé is responsible for leading a rejuvenated crew to Euro 2024 in Germany.
Displacement. President Emmanuel Macron is participating this Friday in the summit of heads of state and government of the European Union. Arriving on Thursday without taking the red carpet that passes in front of the press at the entrance to the European Council building, the Head of State is facing a political and social crisis after the forced adoption of the pension reform. The Franco-German disputes over the place of nuclear power in the fight against climate change and the ban on heat engines in 2035 will be at the heart of the discussions at the European summit.
Deliberate. The Advocate General at the Lyon Court of Appeal has requested the surrender to Italy of anti-globalization activist Vincenzo Vecchi, the subject of a European arrest warrant from his country after his conviction to a heavy prison sentence for violence during of the G8 summit in Genoa in 2001. After those of Rennes in 2019 and Angers in 2020, which rejected the Italian request, the investigating chamber of the Lyon Court of Appeal is the third to look into this sensitive file. The court will deliver its deliberation this Friday, March 24.
