Javier Baez estimates it will be another seven days before his car arrives at the Chicago Cubs’ spring complex.
In the meantime, Baez has been driving around Arizona in a white Polaris Slingshot — a three-wheel motorcycle.
"It’s a fun little car and I’m just having fun," Baez said after the vehicle was seen in the players’ parking lot.
Baez passed the temptation to buy the vehicle and is renting it from a local dealership.
"I love driving a stick (shift)," Baez said.
But Baez was wise enough Friday morning not to drive the vehicle, which starts in the $22,000 range.
"I gave it to my barber last night because I knew it was going to be cold today," Baez smiled. "And I took his car."
