The 63rd-ranked Korda stormed to a 3-0 lead and never looked back as he attained his initial clay-court semifinal.
“I played a fantastic match. I understand he’s been playing very great tennis, he also reached the semifinal at Lyon,” that the 20-year-old Korda said. “But it is my very first semifinal on clay and I am super happy.”
“We practice together a whole lot. It is likely to be a very fun game. He has been playing good, so hopefully it’ll be a fun one.”
It’ll be their next tour-level assembly after Korda came from a set down to beat Paul at Delray Beach at January on his way into the closing.
Paul is the only real player left in Parma.
The other semifinal pits Marco Cecchinato — that the sole Italian left at the draw — from Jaume Munar of all Spain.
The 80th-ranked Munar hauled fifth-seeded Richard Gasquet 6-1, 6-1 while Cecchinato conquer Norbert Gombos 6-3, 6-1.
