Italian Francesco Bagnaia, double reigning world champion, won the Qatar Grand Prix, the first round of the MotoGP season, on Sunday March 10.
Riding his Ducati, he beat the South African Brad Binder (KTM) and the Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati-Pramac), reigning vice-champion. Six-time world champion Marc Marquez finished just off the podium for his first GP on Ducati-Gresini.
The French Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) and Johann Zarco, who is learning to tame the bike of his new team (Honda LCR), are outside the top 10, 11th and 12th respectively.
