Frank Mason III scored 23 points in his final game at Allen Fieldhouse, Devonte Graham hit a series of crucial 3-pointers in the second half and top-ranked Kansas rallied from a 10-point deficit to beat Oklahoma 73-63 on Monday night.

Graham finished with 16 points and Josh Jackson had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Big 12 champion Jayhawks (27-3, 15-2), who trailed 54-42 before finishing the game on a 31-11 run.

The Sooners (10-19, 4-13) were denied the upset on the day the Jayhawks ascended to No. 1 for the first time this season.

Virginia 53, North Carolina 43: Kyle Guy scored 17 points, London Perrantes had 13 and No. 23 Virginia used a small lineup to neutralize No. 5 North Carolina’s size. Guy connected on five 3-pointers for Virginia (20-9, 10-7 ACC) and Perrantes hit three. Joel Berry II scored 12 points to lead the Tar Heels (25-6, 13-4), who snapped a four-game win streak. ACC player of the year contender Justin Jackson, who arrived averaging 19.9 points in league play, was guarded most of the night by Perrantes and scored just seven points and missed seven of 10 shots.

Baylor 71, West Virginia 62: Johnathan Motley scored 19 of his 23 points after halftime and 11th-ranked Baylor won its home finale over 10th-ranked West Virginia. The Bears (24-6, 11-6 Big 12) avenged a 21-point loss at West Virginia on Jan. 10. Jevon Carter had 18 points and nine rebounds for West Virginia (23-7, 11-6).

Virginia Tech 66, Miami 61: Ty Outlaw scored a career-high 24 points to lead Virginia Tech to a victory over No. 25 Miami. Outlaw, who was averaging 5.0 points per game, set a school record with eight 3-pointers for the Hokies (21-8, 10-7 Atlantic Coast Conference). Miami (20-9, 10-7), which moved into The Associated Press top-25 for the first time this season earlier in the day, led 50-48 with just under seven minutes to go.

Women

UConn 96, South Florida 68: Napheesa Collier had a career-high 39 points and 12 rebounds to help No. 1 UConn wrap up another undefeated regular season and extend its NCAA record winning streak to 104 games. Katie Lou Samuelson became the 44th player in program history with 1,000 career points and finished with 16. Gabby Williams added 18 points and nine rebounds. UConn (29-0, 16-0 American Athletic Conference) completed its ninth undefeated regular season and moved within one victory having 12 consecutive 30-win seasons.

Men’s poll: Kansas is the new No. 1 after Gonzaga fell to fourth after losing its first game of the season. Villanova remained second and UCLA moved up from fifth to third. North Carolina moved from eighth to fifth and was followed by Oregon, Arizona, Louisville, Kentucky and West Virginia.

Women’s poll: UConn remains No. 1 with Baylor, Notre Dame, Maryland and South Carolina following.

Note: Bond was set at $750,000 for Creighton’s Maurice Watson Jr., who is charged with first-degree sexual assault for allegedly forcing a 19-year-old Omaha woman into having nonconsensual sex. Watson’s attorney has said Watson denies the allegations. A preliminary hearing is set for March 27.
