Like President Donald Trump, Knicks head of operations and wannabe Zen master Phil Jackson bypasses the media and spreads his thoughts via Twitter.
A lot of those thoughts concern his franchise player, Carmelo Anthony. And a lot of those tweets haven’t had good things to say about the All-Star Knick who signed a new contract in 2014.
That left the media guessing about what would happen to ‘Melo at the NBA trade deadline. With which team would he finish out the season – and maybe his career? Boston Celtics? Los Angeles Clippers? Maybe alongside his good pal LeBron James in Cleveland?
Carmelo made it clear he wanted to stay in New York, and after yesterday’s trade deadline, it looks like that’s where he’ll continue to play.
At the midway point of the season, he’s averaging 23.4 points a game while shooting 44.3 percent – 37.8 percent from outside the 3-point arc. Those numbers are just a fraction behind Bets10 last year’s figures.
Are you happy Carmelo is still a Knick?
