France is preparing to welcome the twenty best rugby teams in the world. For 51 days, the country will live to the rhythm of the oval ball, nine cities (Paris, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Lille, Nice, Nantes, Lyon, Saint-Étienne and Marseille) having the honor of hosting the 48 matches of this prestigious competition . You can follow the entire World Cup on free channels, TF1, M6 and the France Télévisions group.
On August 21, Fabien Galthié revealed to the TF1 newscast the final selection, narrowed down to 33, of the lucky winners who will participate in the competition. After their last convincing victory against Australia, the French will be eagerly awaited in this World Cup which they will play at home.
Two commentator duos will share the 20 matches broadcast by TF1. The first will be made up of journalist and former player François Trillo, as well as former international Benjamin Kayser. Both will be accompanied by Christian Califano, former French international and consultant since 2011 on TF1, who will officiate at the edge of the field. The second duo will be composed of journalist Stefan Etcheverry and Thomas Lombard, former international player and current general manager of Stade Français.
M6 offers three commentator duos (a journalist and a consultant) to accompany the 18 matches they will broadcast. First, Nicolas Delage with Olivier Magne (former French international). Then, Laurent Depret with Marie Sempéré (ex-international player), as well as Xavier Domergue accompanied by Yann Delaigue, former opening half of the XV of France.
On France Télévisions, two duos will cover the 10 matches broadcast on the group’s various channels. First of all, the well-known duo of all, Matthieu Lartot and Dimitri Yachvili (former French international), accompanied by Hélène Macurdy at the edge of the field.
