The San Antonio Stars today announced that they have acquired center Clarissa Dos Santos from the Chicago Sky in exchange for center Astou Ndour.

“Clarissa Dos Santos has been the catalyst for the recent success of the Brazilian national team,” said Stars General Manager Ruth Riley. “She brings experience and toughness on the block, and will be a great addition to our post rotation.”

Dos Santos averaged 4.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14.3 minutes over the last two seasons with the Sky. The Rio De Janeiro native appeared with the Brazilian Women’s National Team at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics and signed with Chicago on March 5, 2015 after playing professionally overseas since 2011. The Stars open the 2017 season on the road with back-to-back games May 13 at New York and May 14 at Washington before their home opener vs. Phoenix on May 19 at 7 p.m. CT at the AT&T Center.
