600,000 euros. This is the amount of the bonus that Hervé Renard would receive in the event of victory for the French team during this Women’s World Cup. It is half a million euros more than what was promised to Corinne Deacon, according to information from L’Équipe.

Unlike the bonuses, the annual salaries of the two coaches are almost similar. Hervé Renard, who made significant financial efforts by abandoning his post as coach of Saudi Arabia, receives 400,000 euros gross, against 350,000 for Corinne Deacon.

The bonus of the former coach of Zambia and Côte d’Ivoire, nations with which he won two African Cups of Nations in 2012 and 2015, remains however very far from that of Didier Deschamps, coach of the men’s team. The 1998 world champion would have received 1.1 million euros after losing the World Cup final in Qatar against Argentina last December. An amount that includes the sports bonus as well as image rights.

Corinne Deacon had been dismissed after a revolt from certain players, the latter having questioned her management methods. She then received 870,000 euros from the FFF as severance pay.
