On December 18, 2022, the French football team lost the World Cup final against Argentina in Lusail (Qatar). In the stands, one clan was particularly well represented: that of Noël Le Graët, then president of the French Football Federation, who has since resigned. According to information from Le Monde, the now ex-president of the French Football Federation had arranged with FIFA to obtain a number of places for his relatives well above that provided for by the protocol. Not to mention the provision of three villas and a bus…

FIFA officially planned to provide the finalist federations with two seats in the presidential box and eight in the official stands. But the FFF would have obtained twenty additional places, which would have benefited the family and friends of Noël Le Graët. Thus, on the evening of the final, in addition to the head of international relations of the FFF, Erwan Le Prevost, and the general manager, Florence Hardouin, two of the daughters of the Breton leader, as well as a friend of the latter, sat in the presidential gallery.

The former boss of the FFF, however, insists on recalling that the plane tickets of all his relatives were paid for out of his own pocket. On the other hand, to accommodate them, FIFA had made three villas available to them. A bus was also dispatched to drive everyone to the stadium.
