SAN ANTONIO — A 30-year-old man was arrested Thursday for allegedly breaking his girlfriend’s arm after she called him by her ex-husband’s first name, according to court documents.
Marc Ramirez faces a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, according to online jail records.

Police responded Monday to a residence in the 9500 block of Braun Creek for a woman with a possible broken arm. The victim said her boyfriend of about five months became angry when she accidentally called him by the name of her ex-husband, according to an arrest affidavit.
According to police, Ramirez wrapped his arms around the victim, pinning her arms to her side. He then picked her up off her feet and tried to carry her out of the bedroom. She used her feet to push off the door and the suspect threw her to the floor “with enough force to cause her to hit her face on the floor and cause her right arm to break,” the affidavit said.
Hospital staff later confirmed that both bones in her right forearm were broken.

If convicted, Ramirez faces up to 20 years in prison.
