Oberaula (dpa/lhe) – After a fire in a refugee accommodation in Oberaula in northern Hesse, the police assume a technical defect to be the cause. The current status of the investigation is going in this direction, said a spokesman for the Schwalm-Eder police department in Homberg on Tuesday. There is still no evidence of arson. Several residents of the community accommodation had been able to save themselves from the fire on their own. A witness who reported the fire and his son took two other residents out of the building. According to the information, no one was injured. The police estimate the damage at 15,000 euros.
