Bayreuth (dpa / lby) – Several people were slightly injured in a traffic accident involving five vehicles on federal highway 85 between Bayreuth and Heinersreuth. According to initial findings, a driver wanted to overtake in the direction of Heinersreuth (Bayreuth district), but had probably overlooked the oncoming traffic. A driver in the oncoming lane slammed on the brakes, causing three other vehicles to hit his car, police spokesman said on Saturday. The person who caused the accident fled. The exact number of injured was initially unclear.
