Meßstetten (dpa / lsw) – Two pedestrians suffered serious injuries when they collided with a car in Meßstetten (Zollernalbkreis). The 60-year-old man and the 49-year-old woman wanted to cross a street on Friday evening and, according to police, overlooked an approaching car. Despite braking and evasive maneuvers, the driver was no longer able to prevent a collision. The two pedestrians were taken to a clinic with serious injuries, but their lives are no longer in danger. Because of evidence of alcohol consumption, a blood test was ordered for both of them, the police said.
