Neustrelitz (dpa/mv) – While some companies in the Mecklenburg Lake District are still looking for trainees for 2022, the search for the next school year will begin on November 15th. As a spokeswoman for the Neubrandenburg employment agency said on Friday, 45 exhibitors are presenting themselves for the first time at a major career orientation fair at the State Center for Renewable Energy MV in Neustrelitz. The spectrum ranges from the state and federal police, which runs a training center in Neustrelitz, to energy service providers, car repair shops, craftsmen, the state forest and various industrial companies.

The big challenge is to reconcile the training places offered and the training needs of young people more precisely, said agency boss Thomas Besse. In total, there were 1,337 applicants for 1,900 training positions in the fall. A few days ago, there were still 247 open training positions for 90 young women and men who were looking for them. At 5,500 square kilometers, the lake district is by far the largest district in Germany.
