Dresden (dpa / sn) – The Technical University of Dresden wants to protect birds better and is therefore equipping large glass surfaces of its buildings with special films. Birds kept dying on campus, the university announced on Thursday. For example, reed warblers, kingfishers and song thrushes fell victim to bird strikes at the biology building on Zellescher Weg. Now a protective film adorns the entire glass front on the south side of the building. This helps animals to recognize the pane of glass.
