Halle (dpa/sa) – The students at the universities in Saxony-Anhalt are increasingly not from the state. In the 2021/22 winter semester, around one in three students also obtained their university entrance qualification in Saxony-Anhalt, and in the 2005/06 winter semester it was still well over half. During the same period, the proportion of students with a higher education entrance qualification from other federal states increased from 37 percent to a good half. Students with a higher education entrance qualification from abroad accounted for 15 percent after just under seven percent in the 2005/06 winter semester.
