Taunusstein (dpa/lhe) – Hesse’s Interior Minister Peter Beuth (CDU) has opened a new police center in Taunusstein (Rheingau-Taunus district). 35 police officers will be on duty there in an area of ??around 1,500 square meters, the Minister of the Interior announced on Tuesday and announced further additional staff in the department for the next few years.
“Security thrives on on-site presence,” emphasized Felix Paschek, President of the West Hesse Police Headquarters. In addition to the police station, a regional investigative team focusing on burglary, drug-related crime and crimes committed by multiple and intensive offenders as well as the regional transport service will also be based in the new center.
