Erfurt (dpa/th) – The head of the Thuringian State Chancellery, Benjamin-Immanuel Hoff, wants to take a break from the short message service Twitter. “I fear @elonmusk will exponentially amplify @Twitter’s negative tendencies,” Hoff wrote on Twitter Tuesday. He will therefore pause and see at the beginning of 2023 whether he will return or delete the account. The 46-year-old shared a report from the “Neue Zürcher Zeitung”, which included the fact that Musk was spreading a conspiracy theory to attack the husband of US top politician Nancy Pelosi.
The tech billionaire and entrepreneur Musk took over Twitter for around 44 billion euros, fired top management and appointed himself the only director to date.
