Kleve (dpa / lnw) – An eight-year-old girl went under in Kleve during swimming lessons for unknown reasons and is now in mortal danger. As the police said, the two teachers noticed during lessons in the primary school’s swimming pool on Thursday morning that the girl was suddenly floating lifeless in the water. They got the eight-year-old out of the water and successfully revived it, said a police spokeswoman. The child was taken to a hospital in a rescue helicopter.

The reasons for the accident were initially unclear. School social workers and victim advocates would have taken care of the classmates and informed the girl’s parents.
