Essen (dpa / lnw) – The weather at the weekend in North Rhine-Westphalia will be changeable. It is still quite mild for the time of year, said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD). On Friday it was variable to heavily cloudy. In the course of the day, a shower-like intensified rain will spread from the south. Individual thunderstorms with local heavy rain of up to 20 liters per square meter are also possible. In the afternoon, the precipitation will decrease from the southwest and it will loosen up – at a maximum of 15 to 20 degrees.

On Saturday there will be a change of sun and clouds. However, isolated showers and thunderstorms with maximum temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees cannot be ruled out again, according to the expert. The DWD expects a similar weather situation on Sunday and at the beginning of the week.
