Dieburg (dpa/lhe) – During a robbery on a supermarket in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district on Thursday, two unknown persons stole coins from a safe. One of the perpetrators had used a pretext to get a 53-year-old employee to let him back into the Dieburg market after closing time, the police said early Friday morning. Here he threatened the woman with a handgun and dragged her by the arm into an office at the back of the store where another 32-year-old employee was staying. There the robber demanded coins from the two women from a safe.
The perpetrator also tried to open another safe with a crowbar. When he failed, he forced the women to let in a second stranger. He also tried in vain to break open the safe. The men fled with an undisclosed amount of coins. According to the information, no one was injured.
