Münster (dpa / lnw) – Out of anger at his training company, an 18-year-old automotive trainee in Raesfeld in Münsterland is said to have tried to kill his boss with a hand ax. The public prosecutor’s office in Münster has brought charges against the man for attempted murder and dangerous bodily harm, as announced on Thursday.

According to the indictment, the trainee at a car dealership was already on his way to the boss’s office on the morning of July 11 of this year with an ax in his hand and a balaclava over his head. He met another employee. So that he could not stop him or warn the boss, he hit his colleague in the back with the axe, according to the public prosecutor. However, the attacked person was not seriously injured, repelled a second blow and, together with a colleague, took the ax from the 18-year-old.

The suspect has been in custody since the alleged crime. He had previously apparently delivered insufficient performance in training. That’s why the boss asked him to repeat his first year of training or to drop out, according to the indictment. The 18-year-old felt he was being treated unfairly and “disrespectfully”, blamed the training company and decided to kill his boss.
