Detmold (dpa / lnw) – The Detmold public prosecutor’s office has brought charges of murder against the so-called ax murderer from Kalletal. According to the investigators of the Bielefeld police, the 36-year-old Azerbaijani killed a 39-year-old from Rinteln while he was sleeping with an ax on June 18, 2022, as the Detmold public prosecutor announced on Thursday. He is said to have acted out of jealousy. The Detmold district court must now decide whether the lawsuit is to be admitted.
Accordingly, the accused raped his former partner after the fact. According to the announcement, this allegation was confirmed by a DNA analysis. According to the Detmold public prosecutor’s office, the 36-year-old had already been sentenced to a lengthy prison term for a homicide in Ukraine.
After the crime, the man was wanted for weeks. On July 22, he was arrested by special police forces at the border with Poland.
