Accordingly, the Burgenlandkreis receives around 28 percent of the sum, which corresponds to 432.5 million euros. The Saale district and the district of Mansfeld-Südharz will each receive 308.9 million euros. It is followed by the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld (278 million) and the city of Halle (216.2 million). Various projects are intended to promote economic development in the regions.

“The joint coordination between the regional authorities and the state is of great importance,” explained Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff. This creates the planning security to be able to profitably use the potential in the regions.
