Höchst (dpa/lhe) – A horse was hit by a car on a federal road in the Odenwald early on Sunday morning and fatally injured. The driver was not injured in the accident near Höchst, the police said. It was initially unclear why the horse was able to run away from the paddock. Due to salvage work at the accident site, the B45 was only partially passable until 6:30 a.m. The vehicle was a total loss of around 45,000 euros.
