Rauenberg (dpa / lsw) – A man was buried in a pit while working on a construction site in Rauenberg (Rhein-Neckar district). He was rescued by the ambulance and fire department on Saturday afternoon, the police said on Sunday. The doctor could not determine the severity of his injuries, according to the police on site. However, there was never any danger to life. A rescue helicopter then took the man to a hospital.

Previously, a company employee and his colleague had dug a pit about three meters deep, it was said. As he stood in the pit, the earth gave way and buried the 32-year-old to below his chest.
