Munich (dpa / lby) – The Bavarian Football Association is at the Association Day of the Southern German Football Association (SFV) with two personnel proposals in the race for top positions. As the BFV announced on Thursday, Silke Raml has been nominated for the position of Vice President. The Lower Bavarian is chairwoman of the DFB women’s and girls’ committee and has had a seat on the UEFA Women’s Football Committee since May 2022.
The association day will take place this Saturday in St. Leon Rot in Baden-Württemberg. BFV treasurer Jürgen Faltbacher would like to take care of the finances of the largest of the five German regional associations as treasurer from now on.
After eleven years at the top of the SFV, Rainer Koch will no longer compete. Ronny Zimmermann is running as president of the Baden Football Association to succeed Koch. “With the departure of Rainer Koch as President, a change is now also imminent in the Southern Association,” said BFV President Christoph Kern. With the Bavarian nominations, a change has been achieved that brings something new with it without forgoing the tried and tested.
